Norbert Gauß assumes Management of HOERBIGER Automation Technology
Norbert Gauß (49) will join the Executive Board of HOERBIGER Holding AG, Zug, Switzerland, on July 1, 2010. At the same time, he will become the CEO of the Strategic Business Unit Automation Technology, headquartered in Schongau, Germany.
As the Chief Executive Officer of the Strategic Business Unit, Norbert Gauß will be responsible for the future- and growth-oriented advancement of the HOERBIGER Automation Technology portfolio based on the existing core competencies in the fields of electrohydraulic actuators, hydraulic drive technology and control engineering, as well as piezo technology.
It is a key strategic goal of HOERBIGER Automation Technology to develop new market potential with intelligent actuators for machine tools and innovative, electrohydraulic valve actuators.
After studying precision engineering at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Norbert Gauß acquired more than 23 years of professional experience working for renowned companies in the automation technology field. He most recently concurrently held the positions of CEO of Schneider Electric Motion GmbH in Lahr, formerly Berger Lahr GmbH, and of ELAU GmbH in Marktheidenfeld, Germany.
